Where Imagination Takes Flight!
Ethan Walker
Creative Director
“I don't know what to film next” is the most common sentence in our consultation calls. It sounds like a creativity problem. It almost never is — it is a systems problem. Here are the three exercises we run when a creator's idea well runs dry.
1. Mine your comments like a gold rush
Your audience tells you what to make next in plain language — questions repeated across videos, timestamps they replay, requests buried under jokes. We pull the last 500 comments, cluster them by theme, and rank the clusters. The top cluster is usually worth a month of videos by itself.
2. Steal the format, not the video
Find an outlier video in an adjacent niche — something outperforming its channel's average by 5x — and ask what format made it work. A “$10 vs $1,000” structure works for tech, cooking, and travel alike. Formats travel; topics do not have to.
“You do not need a new idea. You need a proven format wearing your channel's clothes.”
3. The hundred-idea hour
Set a timer for sixty minutes. Write one hundred video titles — no judging, no deleting. The first thirty are obvious, the next forty are interesting, and the last thirty are where your next series lives. We do this quarterly with every managed channel, and it has never once failed to fill the calendar.
Stuck right now? Bring your “I don't know” to a free consultation — you will leave with ten titled, filmable ideas either way.
